Doug has over 30 years of senior management experience in Sales and Marketing for various start-up and established companies worldwide. He has played an exciting role, over the last 25 years in the development of satellite communications in Canada and the US.
Engaged in several companies, he has helped launch many satellite firsts with early DTH satellite television in North America, the first enterprise Ka band network, the first MCPC network in North America and now launching the new OneWeb LEO network.
He has successfully developed multiple markets for satellite communications including Mining, Energy, Emergency Services, Construction, Government and Marine.
Doug and his wife Teresa are on the St Catharines, ON, Terry Fox Run Committee to raise funds to support cancer research. Cancer can be beaten, and we need do our part.

Scott Congdon joined Intelsat in 2016 and now drives land mobile business and market development activities worldwide, including strategic planning, establishing strategic and technology partnerships, and building a robust service and terminal portfolio. He partners closely with all internal stakeholders ensuring alignment with market needs, customer requirements and emerging trends. Previously Scott led Kyocera’s international sales and business development activities for wireless devices in markets outside of Japan and the US, focusing on enterprise solutions. Earlier in his career, he championed sales and business development activities with a variety of consumer electronics, international fiber and IP networking companies and was a foundational leader in the creation of satellite start-ups Iridium and Teledesic. He began his professional career in various financial management roles with Motorola’s two-way radio, paging and satellite businesses. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Illinois in Champaign/ Urbana USA, a Master of Business Administration in International Marketing and a Master of Science in International Business Studies from the University of Miami in Coral Gables USA. Since 2021, Scott has been active in the International Business Advisory Board at Florida Atlantic University and was previously President of his South Florida condo association for 5 years.
