J. Alberto Palacios is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Globalsat Group, the first Pan-American consortium to provide mobile satellite services (MSS).

Under his vision, the group he founded in 1999 has become the leading multinational MSS organization to serve the Latin American market, with an accelerated growth over the past years, affiliates in ten countries and distributors throughout the region. On June 2017 the group received the "2017 Latin America Satellite Communications Company of the Year"​ award from the highly recognized international consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
