MSUA Unveils Finalists for 2025 Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards and Keynote Speaker

Globalstar’s CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs to discuss “Navigating the Future of NTN: Evolution In Satellite Communications," at annual awards luncheon.

 

 

February 19, 2025 – McLean, VA – The Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA), a global not-for-profit focused on amplifying the voice of the millions of users of satellite services for mobile communication, navigation, and safety, announces the finalists for the 2025 Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards. The awards luncheon will feature keynote speaker Dr. Paul Jacobs, CEO of Globalstar.  Dr. Jacobs remarks will be followed by a Q&A on direct-to-device developments with Barbee Ponder, general counsel and vice president of regulatory affairs at Globalstar and Chris Quilty, co-CEO and founder of Quilty Space.  The event will be held during the 2025 SATELLITE Conference in Washington, D.C.

“Our prominent panel of judges is selecting the winners that will be announced during the awards luncheon on March 11, 2025," added Lanctot.  "In his keynote, Dr. Jacobs will share his insights into the evolution of non-terrestrial network technology and its expected impacts on integrated satellite-cellular connectivity and related applications along with the related standards-setting activities."

The 2025 panel of judges includes Antonio Franchi, Head of 5G/6G NTN Programme Office, European Space Agency (ESA); Silvano Payne, Founder & CEO, SatNews Publishers; Chris Quilty, Founder, Quilty Space; Randy Segal, Co-head of Space and Satellite Group, Partner, Hogan Lovells; and Diana Gamzina, Founder and CEO of Elve Speed.

 

Winners for the MSUA Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards will be announced at a luncheon (11:45 AM to 1:30 PM ET) on March 11, 2025, in room 206 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. during SATELLITE 2024.  Attendance is limited for the Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards.  Advanced tickets and sponsorships are available via the registration form.
